About Rancho Murieta
Rancho Murieta is a community in unincorporated Sacramento County and is about 25 miles from Downtown Sacramento. Rancho Murieta consists of several communities including Rancho Murieta North, Rancho Murieta South, and Rancho Murieta Village. Rancho Murieta is widely known for it’s two 18-hole championship golf courses. Rancho Murieta is a 3,500-acre private refuge with rolling hills full of wildlife including Bald Eagles.
Rancho Murieta is serviced by several schools both private and public. Rancho Murieta is in the Elk Grove School District. There is one elementary school, one middle school, and one high school and serve Rancho Murieta.
Special Note: February 2018 – Due to continued growth in the attendance area for Katherine Albiani Middle School and Pleasant Grove High School, any student who has moved into the Katherine Albiani Middle School or Pleasant Grove High School attendance area on or after July 1, 2017 will be redirected to either Joseph Kerr Middle School (JKMS) and Elk Grove High School (EGHS) or T.R. Smedberg Middle School (TRSMS) and Sheldon High School (SHS), based upon the location of their residence. Full letter.
Rancho Murieta Association (RMA) is the predominate homeowners association in the area. Not all residents in the Rancho Murieta belong to the RMA.
Rancho Murieta Community Services District (CSD) oversees drinking water, wastewater, garbage collection, and security.
Rancho Murieta also falls under the jurisdiction of the following government bodies:
- Sacramento County Board of Supervisors District 4.
- California 8th Senate District
- California 8th Assembly District
- United States 7th congressional district.
